Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking an entry-level individual to assist fire alarm technicians in the installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of life safety systems. This role provides hands-on training and exposure to fire alarm systems while supporting safe, efficient, and code-compliant work in the field.

Responsibilities include assisting with installations, testing, and inspections under supervision, organizing tools, and maintaining site safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; basic mechanical or electrical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to obtain required licenses or certifications if applicable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist technicians with installation of fire alarm devices, wiring, conduit, and equipment.
• Support testing and inspection of fire alarm systems under supervision.

Education And/or Experience

High school diploma and prior construction or electrical experience a plus but not required; basic mechanical or electrical aptitude preferred; ability to obtain required licenses or certifications (as applicable).

Computer Skills

Microsoft, word and basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces; ability to work at heights and on active construction sites; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; field-based role at commercial and industrial job sites; exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and construction environments; overtime may be required.
