Job summary

Scutum North America is seeking an Associate Installer in New York, NY to conduct inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The successful candidate will conduct tests, respond to service requests, and ensure compliance with NYC and NFPA requirements.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, knowledge of fire alarm systems and codes, and good communication skills. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent / Some Trade School / 6 months to 2 years trade school certification.
• 2 years of fire alarm and/or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspection for wear and tear on fire alarm devices.
• Conduct mechanical testing on fire alarm devices as per regulations.
• Respond to service requests and conduct diagnostic tests.

Skills

Knowledge of fire alarm systems and operation

Understanding of NYC Building codes

Proper use of hand tools

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to demonstrate safe use of ladders

Education

High School Diploma or GED
