Job summary

Firetrol Protection Systems is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service & Inspections Technician to join our Jacksonville, Florida team. This role performs scheduled inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and educational customers.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on experience servicing fire alarm systems, strong documentation skills, and customer-focused communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical/electronic or fire alarm training preferred.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience servicing, inspecting, and testing commercial fire alarm systems.
• Current Florida Fire Alarm System Agent (FASA) preferred; if not, must complete board-approved training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled inspection and testing of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72, FPC, and AHJ requirements.
• Diagnose troubles and deficiencies; complete repairs or recommend corrective actions.
• Service and repair fire alarm control panels, notification devices, power supplies, and related interfaces.
• Accurately document test results, deficiencies, impairments, actions, parts used, and customer acknowledgments.
• Communicate findings and priorities to customers; coordinate testing notifications and access.
• Support permit inspections and acceptance testing with AHJ, project managers, and monitoring centers.
• Maintain tools, vehicle, and inventory; follow safety procedures; participate in on-call rotations and travel within service area.
