Job summary

Impact Fire Services, LLC in Arlington, TX seeks a Field Supervisor to lead field crews, ensure safe work practices, and provide ongoing on-site training for technicians.

You will coordinate with the Project Manager and General Contractor, review daily reports, visit active jobs, and help manage schedules, quality, and compliance with NFPA codes across projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years related fire alarm experience with a current TSFMO FAL.
  • NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 72.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and manuals.
  • Proficient with PCs including MS Excel/Word and mobile apps.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise field crews on current jobs and maintain day-to-day operations.
  • Update daily reports to ensure efficient job execution.
  • Coordinate with Project Manager and General Contractor for financial and operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and safety practices.

This position is working out of our Arlington, TX office.

The Field Supervisor is to lead the team in efficient project execution, ensuring safe work practices, and ongoing field training for the field technicians. This position is a leadership role for someone who is goal oriented, has good time management, and is capable of leading team members.

Your responsibilities are to supervise the field crews on all current jobs, maintain day-to-day operations, and keep an updated dialog with the general contractor to be relayed back to the project manager. You will have to receive and update daily reports from the technicians to ensure the jobs are being run efficiently. This role requires a Field Supervisor to be calm under pressure, always willing to learn new management skills/techniques, and willingness to assist with upper management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with Project Manager and Construction Manager to ensure the jobs meet our financial and operational goals.
  • Ensure the effective operation of the Fire Alarm Division and the efficiency of Fire Alarm personnel.
  • Ensure that the technical personnel are highly trained in our services and products as well as safety.
  • Learn and ensure compliance with all applicable industry codes.
  • Protect the company's assets.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the General Manager or Managing Member.
  • Talk to all the technicians daily about the updates on the job status to relay and update with the project manager and general contractors.
  • Make onsite visits daily to all active jobs and jobs that are going to start in the near future.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Possess any necessary licensing and certification required by National, State and Local codes.
  • Minimum 5 years related fire alarm experience with a current TSFMO FAL.
  • NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 72.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.
  • Proficiency with using PCs including working knowledge of MS Excel / Word as well as iPhone/iPad apps.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Willingness to travel out of town including overnight lodging.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
