Job summary

Oliver Fire Protection & Security in Lebanon, NJ seeks an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Designer to join our Fire Alarms team. The role focuses on designing fire alarm, mass notification, and security alarm systems in AutoCAD for shop and field drawings.

You will communicate with customers, the Design Manager, sales staff, and project managers to track progress, perform voltage drop calculations, and prepare comprehensive submittals for permits.

Qualifications

• Required: high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience as a fire alarm designer.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and reading blueprints/schematics.
• MS Office experience including Outlook, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Design fire alarm, mass notification, and security alarm systems in AutoCAD for shop and record drawings.
• Communicate with customers, Design Manager, salespeople, and project managers for status updates.
• Perform battery and voltage drop calculations for fire alarm systems.
• Produce submittal packages with drawings, calculations, and datasheets for permits.
