Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm Designer to create fire alarm design drawings and manage submittals and approvals. You will report to the Electronic Design Manager and collaborate with the sales team, technicians, CAD drafters, and project managers throughout the delivery cycle.

Two years of fire alarm design experience is required; NICET certification is preferred, with an understanding of how mechanical systems interface with fire alarm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of fire alarm design experience.
• NICET certification is preferred, with understanding of how mechanical systems interface with Fire Alarm.
• Demonstrated drafting/CAD ability and solid computer skills.
• Knowledge of multiple electronic building systems is a plus.
• Effective written and oral communications.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create fire alarm design drawings and track submittals and approvals.
• Report to the Electronic Design Manager and work with the sales team, technicians, CAD drafters, and project managers.
• Support day-to-day decisions to meet customer needs and adapt to changes in requirements.
