Job summary

Jensen Hughes is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Consultant/Designer to join our team in Anaheim or Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on designing, planning, and overseeing fire alarm systems for diverse projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer needs.

The candidate will use AutoCAD and Revit for drawings, collaborate with PMs, engineers, architects, and AHJs, and remain current with fire protection regulations.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of experience designing fire alarm systems for multiple project types.
• NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is preferred.
• Professional licensure in Electrical or Fire Protection Engineering is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong understanding of NFPA codes and local fire codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed fire alarm system designs.
• Utilize CAD and Revit to produce code‑compliant drawings and submittals.
• Ensure designs meet local, state, and national fire codes.
• Perform site surveys to inspect building features and systems.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design drawings.
