Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, Pflugerville-based, is seeking a Fire Alarm Construction Manager to lead on-site installation projects from planning through completion.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field teams and coordinating subcontractors

Role Description

The Fire Alarm Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pflugerville, TX. This role oversees fire alarm construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring work is performed to company standards, code requirements, and customer specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating project schedules, managing field crews and subcontractors, monitoring job progress, and controlling project budgets and costs. The Fire Alarm Construction Manager will review plans and specifications, support material procurement, enforce construction safety practices, and collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve issues. This position also involves documenting project status, tracking change orders, and ensuring timely, quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills to lead field teams, coordinate subcontractors, and manage workforce performance.
• Candidates should possess Budgeting and Project Control skills to plan costs, track expenses, manage change orders, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Candidates should possess Construction and Construction Safety skills to oversee installations, interpret drawings, ensure code compliance, and maintain safe job sites.
• Candidates should have knowledge of fire alarm systems, NFPA codes, and local building regulations.
• Candidates should demonstrate effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing construction or fire alarm projects and familiarity with project management software is beneficial.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site at various project locations in and around Pflugerville, TX is required.
