Job summary

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is seeking a Fire Alarm and Suppression Technician to inspect, service, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems across facilities in Virginia and Maryland.

Requires NICET Level III or IV certification, a High School diploma, and at least five years of experience in fire protection and life safety. Active Top Secret SCI W/ CI Poly clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Must read, interpret, and apply system design plans and construction drawings.
• High level of knowledge and application of NFPA code and UFC codes.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The purpose of this position is to inspect, service, maintain, repair fire alarm and suppression systems.

• Identifies hazards, deficits, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
• Shall develop and implement procedures to identify and prevent defective services from recurring.
• Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: * NICET Certified Level III or IV required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in the Fire Protection/Life Safety Industry including: KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: * High level of knowledge & application of the National Fire Alarm Code and pertinent UFC codes.
• Must be thoroughly capable of reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, as well as building construction drawings and documents.
