Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety seeks an Outside Sales Representative to drive sales of fire alarm and suppression systems in the Louisiana region. You will develop and maintain client relationships, identify new leads, and tailor product offerings to meet client needs.

Responsibilities include presenting solutions, following up on opportunities, and maintaining robust sales activity reports. Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong communication, and travel as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR at least five years of related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

The Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems Outside Sales Representative will sell Fire Alarms and Suppression systems offered by the company to current and new clientele. The Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems Outside Sales Representative is responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients. Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems Outside Sales Representatives may also recommend marketing strategies designed for a target market.
