FIPS 140 Security Engineer

What You Will Do
- Work on varied FIPS 140 validation projects.
- Conduct general security analysis.
- Design work (product architecture).
- Perform vulnerability testing.
- Conduct physical security testing.
- Perform system-level logical analysis.
- Evaluate products against Technology Type standards (Protection Profiles).
- Test cryptographic and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) components.
- Test cryptographic algorithms.
- Review source code activities.
- Write and review technical reports.
- Automate testing through scripting.
- Develop applications to support test cases.
Qualifications
- Cryptographic Validation Program (CVP) Certification.
- Knowledge of cryptographic encryption, key exchange, hashing, PKI, random number generators, etc.
- Experience with programming languages (C, C++, Python, Java) and development environments.
- Ability to understand security standards and apply them to products.
- Experience with network setup, subnetting, and routing.
- Knowledge of security protocols (SSH, IPsec, TLS, etc.).
- Experience in building testing environments, performing tests, and reporting results.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective multitasking and time management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python.
- Debugging skills (ADB, WinDBG, Visual Studio, etc.).
- Knowledge of OpenSSL and OpenPGP.
- Vulnerability analysis and penetration testing experience.
- Strong understanding of computer security principles.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE).
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Linux.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.).
- Knowledge of X.509 certificate validation.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
