Grid is hiring a Backend Software Engineer to build and scale our tax-enabled financial platform from San Francisco. You’ll own backend features end to end, leveraging Go on GCP, with a data-driven mindset to improve product and reliability.

As part of a fast-paced team, you’ll work across data pipelines, API integrations, and deployment processes to deliver scalable, production-ready services that serve millions of users and support rapid growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Experience with Go (Golang) on GCP.
• Experience with data-oriented backends and pub/sub.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end and ship to production.

Responsibilities

• Backend features end to end—domain models, business logic, and API integrations.
• Iterate with data-driven approaches and maintain robust deployments.
• Utilize SQL and analytics to monitor product and system performance.
• Debug complex evented systems and ensure high reliability.
