Job summary

OnePay is seeking a Legal & Compliance Intern in New York City to support contracts, regulatory research, policy development, and compliance reviews across active initiatives, focusing on the cross-section between financial services regulation, data privacy, artificial intelligence, and marketing compliance.

You will gain hands-on exposure to how a fast-moving fintech manages legal risk and compliance obligations, with mentorship, workshops, and leadership interaction during networking events.

Qualifications

• Currently in law school with interest in financial services, regulatory, data privacy, AI, or marketing and advertising law.
• coursework or project experience in financial services regulation, data privacy law, AI/regulation, or advertising law.

Responsibilities

• Support contract drafting and review, regulatory research, policy updates (privacy notices and AI governance), and compliance reviews.
• Participate in cross-functional projects including data privacy assessments and marketing compliance reviews (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, UDAAP).
• Attend workshops on technical skills, resume building, and interview prep; engage with company leadership during networking events.
