Job summary

Achieve, a leading digital personal finance company, is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer to shape and execute our enterprise cybersecurity strategy for a fast-growing, cloud-first fintech environment.

You will partner with senior leadership to align security with product development, regulatory obligations, and customer trust while building a mature risk-based program across cloud, data protection, and AI governance. Hybrid roles in Phoenix and San Francisco are available.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive cybersecurity leadership experience.
• Fintech experience in regulated environments.
• Cloud security architecture, DevSecOps, IAM expertise.
• Experience with PCI DSS 4.0, SOC 2, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, GLBA.
• Experience securing AI/ML systems and AI risk management.
• Strong executive presence with Board-level communication.
• Proven ability to build a defensible security posture and handle audits.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise cybersecurity strategy aligned with growth.
• Serve as trusted security advisor to executives, Board, regulators.
• Translate cyber risk into business impact with measurable risk reduction.
• Oversee governance, risk, and compliance including ITGCs and audits.
• Lead SOC, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management.
• Drive cloud security posture across AWS/Azure/GCP; secure-by-design in SDLC.
• Lead IAM, Zero Trust, data protection programs.
