Job summary

Qualifications

• Junior, senior, or master's student in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, WHERE). Window functions or CTEs are a plus.
• Some exposure to Python or R for data analysis.
• Familiarity with relational database concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain numbers to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Write and run SQL queries against Azure SQL / SQL Server to answer business questions and build reports.
• Build and maintain dashboards in Hex covering key metrics like application-to-funded funnel and delinquency trends.
• Use Python (pandas, Jupyter/Hex notebooks) to clean, explore, and summarize data and present findings.
• Learn lending metrics (vintages, cohorts, days-past-due buckets, roll rates, first-payment default) and apply them in analysis.
• Help measure borrower communications and marketing campaigns, including tracking results and A/B test analysis.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate into clear specs for development.
• Support data quality by flagging anomalies and documenting data definitions in the data catalog.
• Assist with vendor data and reporting relationships.
