Job summary

Workday is seeking a FinOps Specialist in Pleasanton, CA to bridge advanced cloud financial management with strategic business goals. You’ll optimize cloud spend across AWS and GCP, build metrics for ML forecasting, and implement scalable cost-control frameworks for an enterprise-scale multi-cloud environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and finance teams in a hybrid work model and offers exposure to leading AI-driven cloud optimization tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience defining, designing, and implementing solutions to achieve a desired business outcome in public cloud
• 1+ year of experience analyzing or operating software systems in AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Outstanding written, visual representation, and verbal communication skills
• Six Sigma certification is highly desirable
• Strong ability to establish relationships, influence without authority, and drive alignment across teams with varied strengths and leadership levels
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
• Proficient in data analysis and planning and modeling tools, dbt, Lightdash, Adaptive Planning, Google Sheets and Excel
