Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Senior Financial Operations Analyst to lead software asset governance, licensing, and FinOps initiatives across the organization. You will partner with Cloud Infrastructure, Procurement, and Finance to optimize software investments and ensure licensing compliance.

The role requires experience in SAM/ITAM/FinOps, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate usage data into cost-saving actions for large-scale tech environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, finance, or accounting required.
• 5+ years in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), FinOps, Procurement, or related field.
• Strong understanding of SaaS consumption models and enterprise software governance.
• Experience with cloud cost management and vendor negotiations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle management of enterprise software assets, subscriptions, and licensing agreements.
• Develop and maintain SAM and SaaS governance processes for visibility into inventory and consumption.
• Manage licensing compliance, audits, and true-up processes.
• Identify opportunities to optimize licensing through reclamation and rightsizing.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and Cloud teams on budgeting and spend optimization.
• Build executive dashboards and reports on usage, spend, and renewals.
• Support chargeback/showback methodologies for technology consumption.
