Job summary

Workday, Inc. in Pleasanton seeks a BT Operations Lead to drive IT financial governance, budget control, and capitalization alignment in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Procurement.

Responsibilities include cost variance monitoring, policy enforcement, and leading BoIT initiatives. You will implement and sustain FinOps dashboards, ensure data integrity, and provide timely operational reports to BT leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT Finance/ITBM/FP&A experience in software development environments.
• 6+ years of accounting principles related to technology (e.g., software capitalization, depreciation).
• 6+ years of experience supporting operational financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Support cost variance monitoring and budget governance within BT operations.
• Define, document, and manage workflow for budget exceptions and approvals.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, and Procurement on contracts, renewals, and cost savings.
• Develop and deliver accurate operational reports for BT leadership and Finance partners.
• Assist in implementing a Bill of IT and a FinOps dashboard to drive accountability.
