Job summary

Florida Blue is seeking a FinOps Engineer to drive cloud cost visibility, allocation, and optimization across GuideWell's cloud estate as it migrates to the cloud. You will design tagging and cost allocation, build showback and forecasting, and manage Savings Plan/RI coverage.

You will partner with engineering to embed cost checks into provisioning and CI/CD, translating findings for finance and executives. This hands-on role combines cloud infra depth with financial analysis.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in cloud financial management, cloud engineering or infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS and Azure billing, Cost Explorer, CUR, Savings Plans and Reserved Instances.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cloud spend, investigate anomalies, and track run rate against the business case.
• Execute optimization including rightsizing, storage tiering, scheduling, and idle resource cleanup.
• Design and enforce the tagging and cost allocation model.
• Build showback reporting, budgets, and forecasting.
• Provide cost input to architecture reviews and migration planning.
