The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional finishing experience and extensive knowledge of water-based finishes and related systems. This role emphasizes craftsmanship, precision, and independent, high-quality work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional finishing experience in woodworking or cabinetry.
• Strong knowledge of water-based finishes, pre-catalyzed lacquers, polyurethane finishes.
• Excellent measuring, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of finishing equipment, maintenance, and best practices.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high craftsmanship standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finish-sand custom furniture, cabinetry, and millwork projects.
• Apply stains, paints, lacquers, polyurethane, hard-wax oils, and other finishes to project specifications.
• Operate and maintain finishing equipment and spray booth areas.
• Inspect projects prior to finishing to ensure readiness and quality.
• Serve as the final quality control checkpoint before projects leave the shop.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure project schedules and quality standards are met.
