Job summary

Composite Factory in Mooresville, NC is hiring a Finishing Technician I to perform manual sanding and trimming of composite parts according to engineering drawings. The role requires tool proficiency, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work with adhesives and fasteners to meet specified finishes.

The position supports senior technicians, emphasizes quality control, and requires good communication within a team.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to pass respirator fit testing and OSHA-compliant requirements.
0–1 year finishing/trim experience preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
Proficient with hand and power tools; capable of handling small parts.

Responsibilities

Manually sand or trim composite parts per drawings.
Bond and assemble parts using rivets, fasteners, and adhesives; assist senior technicians.
Ensure assemblies meet specifications and finish standards.
Prepare surfaces by filling and sanding to required finish.
Maintain safety and quality standards; follow policies.
Lift up to 50 pounds and work with a team to improve productivity.
