Composite Factory in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Finishing Lead to assist the Production Supervisor in organizing the Finishing Department, including trimming, bonding, mold making, and pattern preparation. The Lead will train Technicians, ensure quality, and support inventory control and safety procedures.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and adherence to procedures in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass respirator fit testing and OSHA respirator requirements.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in composite manufacturing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Supervisor in organizing finishing operations and new parts.
• Lead and train Finishing Technicians in trimming, bonding, and mold preparation.
• Supervise in the absence of the Finishing Manager and ensure on-time task completion.
• Provide feedback to promote continuous improvement and productivity.
• Verify quality and functionality of parts at production start and inspect bonded assemblies.
