Job summary

Cary-Grove Chamber of Commerce seeks a Secondary Operator for 1st shift in Barrington, IL. The role performs finishing operations on precision parts in a safe, clean environment, supports production, and conducts quality inspections.

Responsibilities include deburring, washing, and finishing tasks; reading gauges and blueprints; maintaining equipment and a tidy work area; and communicating with supervisors on quality and workflow. Requires good manual dexterity and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use hand tools and finishing equipment with strong manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. and stand, bend, and twist for extended periods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Manufacturing experience preferred with strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform secondary operations including deburring, washing, blasting, and part finishing.
• Inspect parts using gauges, microscopes, and measuring tools to verify specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding quality concerns, workflow, and job status.
