Job summary

Eaton in Sherman, TX is seeking a full-time Powder Coat Painter to work 2nd shift. The role involves preparing, coating, and finishing metal parts using powder coating equipment, ensuring quality and meeting production schedules.

Responsibilities include operating coating equipment, monitoring thickness, loading materials, performing setup and maintenance, inspecting finished products, and maintaining a safe work area. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit offered; must reside in Sherman, TX area.
• Experience with powder painting and industrial painting preferred.
• Experience operating spray equipment and production machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate powder coating equipment and apply coatings according to work instructions, customer specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor coating thickness, coverage, appearance, and curing processes to ensure finished products meet production and quality requirements.
• Load, unload, and move materials safely throughout the coating process while minimizing product damage.
• Perform routine equipment setup, cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting to support efficient operations and reduce downtime.
• Inspect finished products for defects and complete required quality checks and documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and PPE requirements while operating equipment and handling materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to resolve quality concerns and support production goals.
• Identify and report equipment issues, process improvements, and potential safety hazards to management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, cost reduction, and workplace safety.
• Perform 5S & continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
