Vallourec - North America is hiring for a Finishing Department Operator in an evergreen, ongoing capacity. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and efficiency in a high‑volume steel finishing environment.

You will operate and adjust large machinery, perform changeovers, and document production details daily. The position offers opportunities for cross-training across operator areas, overtime, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.
• Willingness to cross-train in all operator areas.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to maximize quality, safety, and productivity.
• Monitor and adjust machinery and equipment as required.
• Conduct assigned housekeeping, maintenance, and quality responsibilities.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor process issues.
• Record production, inventory and quality documentation as required.
• Read and use gages.
• Set up, start, observe and perform changeovers on large machinery.
• Work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Flexible to work any shift assignment.
