LayerZero Power Systems LLC is seeking a Powder Coating Operator for an on-site role in Aurora, Ohio. You will apply powder to metal surfaces, operate coating equipment, and ensure quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You should be able to read build specifications, perform quality checks, and maintain 5S in the work area. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a growing power systems company.

Position Description: Powder Coating Operator

The Power Coater at LayerZero Power Systems LLC. will be responsible for the application of powder to various metal surfaces to enhance its appearance and provide protection. This role requires the monitoring and operation of equipment and facilities while ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. The operator must always maintain safety standards and initiate and follow emergency procedures when necessary. Follow company policies, plant rules, and safety regulations. Strong attention to detail.

Requirements

Primary Duties:

• Operate powder coating equipment
• Load and unload parts from overhead conveyer or manual racks
• Touch-up parts in powder coating booth as necessary using manual powder coating guns
• Ensure proper adhesion and coverage of powder coating on surfaces
• Ability to read and interpret various build specifications, quality requirements and computer-generated documents
• Visually inspects parts for defects
• Performs Quality Checks as directed
• Responsible for maintaining 5S in the work area
• Assisting team members as needed
• Communicates in an efficient and effective manner with coworkers and supervisors to ensure jobs are completed accurately
• Demonstrates the proper use of tools and equipment

Experience & Skills:

• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes
• Finishing in a manufacturing environment or transferrable manufacturing experience
• Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow direction
• Ability to use hand tool
• Must be able to stand for extended time periods, bend, squat and kneel
• Must have good vision to inspect parts and assemblies

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
