Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a Finishing Operator to lead machine set ups, changeovers, and routine problem solving in the Finishing Department. The role is on the 2nd shift, 3PM–11PM, Mon-Fri on a 2-2-3 rotation, ensuring quality and productivity targets are met.

You will monitor processes, record downtime and performance, and collaborate to drive continuous improvement while adhering to safety policies and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
• Able to follow written and oral instruction.
• Regard safety as a core value and model safe practices.
• Strong service and quality focus with issue resolution capabilities.
• Team collaboration and open communication to reach goals.
• Willingness to cross-train and sustain skills.
• Flexibility and dependability to support production and customer focus.
• Able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
• Proficiency with computer applications, especially MFG Pro transactional skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead machine set ups and changeovers.
• Run orders per product specifications and standard practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
• Capture operating data, including downtime causes and performance to plan.
• Inspect finished product appearance and ensure quality.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and safety duties.
• Communicate information to shift/department personnel for smooth operations.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
