We are currently recruiting for a Finishing Operator to join our team. The Finishing Operator will focus on setup and operation of commercial label inspector machines, including visual quality control. Responsibilities include operating equipment to slit continuous printed material into specified width strips.

Schedule: 2nd shift, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am

Responsibilities

• Select correct cores and rewind methods for each job
• Review job specifications to ensure finishing, packaging, and shipping requirements are met
• Inspect products for quality and package accordingly
• Monitor material flow through machines to detect irregularities
• Ensure quality of color, size, die cuts, perforations, print, and packaging
• Assist with cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging jobs
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines
• Replace blades on inspection machines as needed
• Complete job paperwork and prepare finished goods for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
• 1 year of manufacturing, printing, or packaging experience preferred
• Ability to read safety and operating instructions
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret measurement devices
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Vision requirements include close, color, and depth perception
