Job summary

Jobtailor in Staunton, VA is seeking a Folding Carton Folder/Gluer operator to set up, load stock, and run folding equipment according to customer specs. You will prepare make-ready feeders, gluing systems, and final fold, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED or 3 years of manufacturing experience, with mechanical aptitude. You will logs, follow SOPs, and perform other duties as assigned in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or at least three years of professional working experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, preferably folding carton manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the folder/gluer to produce folding cartons.
• Locate and load proper stock in preparation for operation.
• Prepare make-ready feeder, prefold, glue system, final fold, delivery, pack station, and inspection system.
• Operate the folder/gluer in accordance with customer specifications and current standard operating procedures.
• Ensure total quality of the job while in operation.
• Maintain the machine and area in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Demonstrate competency in all basic folds: straight-line, lock-bottom, inner partition, etc.
• Complete all job logs as required.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
• Follow all company safety requirements.
• Comply with all company rules and regulations.
