PrideStaff - Greenville is seeking a highly precise, detail-oriented, and dependable Finishing Operator / Paint Prep Associate for a leading specialized manufacturing facility for our customer in the Fountain Inn, SC area.
In this technical production role, you will be responsible for preparing, detailing, and finishing various manufactured components to exact specifications.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Component Finishing: Load parts onto finishing tables and utilize air tools, Dremel tools, sanding blocks, and other hand-held devices to meticulously prepare and finish parts.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain finishing tables and active workspace machinery by carefully following instructions for cleaning, adjustments, and setting proper pressures.
- Quality & Measurement: Operate quality control devices and utilize precision tools—including calipers, micrometers, scales, and calculators—to verify accurate units of measure.
- Technical Documentation: Review technical blueprints/drawings and accurately fill out routing travelers completely and timely for all processed parts.
- QMS Adherence: Fully support and follow all internal Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines, production protocols, and behavioral standards.
- Workspace Safety: Practice proper safety guidelines and continuously wear all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at your workstation.
Requirements include:
- Required Experience: Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing, industrial, or production environment experience is required.
- Preferred Backgrounds: Transferable high-dexterity experience in precision fields—such as auto body tech/detailing, nail artistry, cosmetic work, or professional cake decorating—is a massive plus!
- Technical Aptitude: Proven understanding of proper finishing techniques, a sharp attention to detail, and the ability to comprehend technical drawings.
- Precision Tools: Direct, hands-on comfort using handheld power tools (Dremels, grinders, air tools) and precision measuring devices (micrometers/calipers).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or sit at a dedicated workstation for extended periods, with the physical agility to bend, twist, climb, or stoop as needed.
- Lifting Capability: Physically capable of regularly lifting and maneuvering up to 50 lbs. without restrictions.
- Basic Literacy & Math: Strong ability to read technical traveler instructions, follow detailed verbal and written cues, and write down accurate numerical measurements.
- Environmental Comfort: Must be comfortable working 100% of the time in an indoor, non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
- Attendance: Physical attendance at your designated workstation during normal business hours is a strict requirement; looking for a professional with a history of excellent punctuality.
