Position: Finishing Operator

We are currently recruiting for a Finishing Operator to join our team. The Finishing Operator focuses on setup and operation of commercial label inspector machines, including visual quality control. Responsibilities include operating equipment to slit continuous printed material into specified widths.

Scheduled: 2nd shift, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am

Responsibilities

• Select correct cores and rewind methods for each job
• Review job jackets to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are met
• Inspect products for quality and package accordingly
• Monitor material flow through machines to detect irregular cuts
• Ensure quality standards for color, size, die cuts, perforations, print, and packaging
• Assist with cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging jobs
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Replace blades on inspection machines as needed
• Complete paperwork for each job and prepare finished goods for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent
• Preferred: 1 year experience in manufacturing, printing, or packaging industries
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions
• Proficient in basic math and measurement reading (ruler, scales, etc.)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
