Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18+ and have a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Able to work all shifts, including weekends, with possible overtime.
  • Legal to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.
  • 2+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Forklift operations experience preferred.

  • Manually breaking-down pallets of material and products.
  • Arranging, stacking, and repackaging all types of materials and products.
  • Affixing labels, stickers or booklets on packaged materials.

  • Identify, prioritize and safely accomplish tasks while working independently.

About You and This Role

Dow is seeking highly motivated, dependable self-starters who are interested in working for a safe, well-established global company as a Finishing Operator in Auburn, MI. As a Finishing Operator, you will provide support for Dow's manufacturing operations through the packaging and distribution of Dow products. You are a team player and a problem solver and are willing to step up to help the team succeed in an empowered environment. Responsibilities
  • Packaging products for our global customers

  • Identify, prioritize and safely accomplish tasks while working independently to overcome daily obstacles
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must have a current, valid US driver’s license
  • Willing and able to work all applicable shifts on a monthly rotation (including weekends) and work overtime when needed
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of manufacturing experience
  • Forklift Operations Experience
  • The physical abilities, with or without reasonable accommodations, include: Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lb.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Standing/Walking for extended periods of time.
  • Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator.
  • Work in an area of intense or continuous noise.
  • Work in an area with hazardous materials.
  • Handle 55 gal. drums.
  • Work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.

Communication: The ability to clearly convey information, listen actively, and engage effectively with others through verbal, written, and non-verbal means. Troubleshooting: Ability to systematic search for the source of a problem in order to solve it and make the product or process operational again. Maintaining Focus: The capacity to maintain attention and concentration on tasks or goals, minimizing distractions and staying productive. Self-Sufficiency: The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative without constant supervision. Workplace Safety: Understanding and following safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment for oneself and others. Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using common computer applications such as word processors, email, internet browsers, and basic troubleshooting of hardware or software issues.

Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required if offer is received and accepted. This position does not offer relocation assistance.
