Vector Technical has partnered with a leading global adhesives manufacturer in need of FinishingMaterial Handlersto join their busy team!

The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of material throughout the site. This may include loading/unloading of trailers and movement of raw materials using forklift, work in process, and finished goods.

Contract position - If the candidate fits in well, there will be an opportunity to bid into a a permanent position.
$18/hr. to start. Substantial raise in hourly pay if hired to a permanent position.
1st Shift 7a-3p

Responsibilities:

• Move material to/from raw, WIP, Finished, Shipping, Receiving, and manufacturing areas.
• Unload/load trucks/tankers with incoming/outgoing materials. - Verify materials against receiving/shipping documents.
• Complete appropriate transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System.
• Support inventory accuracy:
• Complete warehouse and departmental cycles counts and correct discrepancies
• Help manage winding drum and rack inventories

• Raw/Finishing warehouse:
• Pick up and transfer material racks, pallets, and other consumable supplies to/from production areas as required.
• Condense warehouse space and maintain good housekeeping
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
  • Forklift experience - will be using sit down forklift for about 60% of the shift
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.
  
  Preferred Requirements:
  
  • 3-5+ year’s previous material handling experience.
