Job summary

MCC Label is hiring for a Finishing Machine Operator on the first shift. The role involves ensuring print and seam quality, handling rolls, and performing splicing with standard tools. You will enter data into Radius and participate in special projects.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prefer experience in printing. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to use ruler, safety knife, and punch during splicing.
• Familiarity with Radius or other data entry systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll back together per the specification.
• Uses a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure.
• Handles rolls and palletizes them to prevent damage.
• Records and enters data on designated paperwork and in Radius.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

• Compensation: $18.00-$21.00 (based on skill level, specific abilities, and years of industry-specific experience) + $1,000 sign on bonus

Responsibilities

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
• Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
• Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
• Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
• Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Radius)
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience or in-depth knowledge of lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing preferred
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• This position requires frequent walking.
• Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous eye concentration.
