Job summary

Gwynedd Manufacturing in North Wales, PA, is seeking a Finishing and Blasting Operator to prepare metallic and nonmetallic parts using fixtures, tools and machines. You will deburr, polish, blast and inspect components to ensure quality.

This first shift role runs from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of machine operation experience, good math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while maintaining safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a machine operator.
  • Basic math skills, including fundamental geometry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines as programmed or perform manual processes with limited direct supervision.
  • Communicate any malfunctions or quality issues immediately to a supervisor.
  • Deburr, polish, and blast parts to prepare them for coating.
  • Operate blasting equipment as required.
  • Inspect parts for visual defects and anomalies.
  • Apply knowledge of standard Mil-Spec dimensions commonly used on firearms components.
  • Work safely and follow all company safety procedures.
  • Meet production and quality goals within department timelines.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Finishing and Blasting Operator to prepare metallic and nonmetallic parts using fit-for-purpose fixtures, tools, and machines. This role requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of basic math and geometry, and the ability to work safely and efficiently to meet production goals. The technician will be responsible for deburring, polishing, blasting, and inspecting metal components to ensure they meet quality standards.

This is a First Shift role with hours being from 7 AM to 3:30 PM
