Job summary

Opti Staffing is hiring a Finisher/Painter for a NE Portland cabinet shop specializing in high-end store fixtures and displays. The role involves staining, painting, applying topcoats to wood fixtures, reading blueprints, operating pneumatic spray equipment, and preparing surfaces for finishes.

You will work Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with occasional overtime. Overtime opportunities, a consistent weekday schedule, and a quality-focused team are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience staining, painting, and applying topcoats to wood products.
• Experience using pneumatic spray equipment and related tools.
• Ability to mix finishes to meet color specifications.
• Strong masking, sanding, and surface blending skills.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication and reliability.
• Preferred: previous experience in high-end millwork or retail fixture finishing.
• Experience working in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Stain, paint, and apply topcoats to wood fixtures and architectural elements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to identify parts requiring finish.
• Operate pneumatic spray equipment and various hand tools.
• Mix stain, lacquer, and paint to achieve custom finishes.
• Perform masking, sanding, blending, and surface preparation.
• Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
• Assist with special projects and other finishing tasks as needed.
