Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Finisher III for onsite work. You will read operation sheets, blueprints and bodies to plan the sequence of machining, select tools, lighting, and inspection aids to meet precise quality specifications.

The role requires 3+ years as a Finisher in a machine shop, and participation in the FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is mandatory. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants who apply between the stated dates.

Qualifications

• Work from operation sheets, blueprints, sketches, and bodies to plan entire sequence of work performed.
• Select, sharpen, and/or make special tooling as required.
• Select lighting aids, inspection gauges, and visual magnification to meet quality specifications.
• Perform work on complex bodies having multi-internal hole intersections and assist Finisher II on new jobs.
• Instruct and assist Finisher II employees on new jobs and methods.

Job Description

This position is eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus. To qualify, candidates must submit their application between July 20, 2026, and September 11, 2026, and is subject to the terms of the bonus agreement.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Finisher in a machine shop setting.
• In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

As a Finisher III, You Will

• Work from operation sheets, blueprints, sketches, and bodies to plan entire sequence of work performed.

• Perform work on complex bodies having multi-internal hole intersections but, on occasion, also includes all work performed by Finisher II employees.
• Instruct and assist Finisher II employees on new jobs and methods.

Salary Range Transparency
