Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. in Wisconsin is hiring associates to perform safety checks, packaging, and pallet fabrication duties. You will mark products for shipment, inspect finished goods, and complete required paperwork. Training on cranes, hoists, forklifts, and ITAR compliance is provided.

Position requires reading blueprints, basic math, and computer skills; PPE is provided or reimbursed, with tuition reimbursement and a pathway to growth.

Qualifications

• Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
• Understanding and adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reading, writing and basic math skills.
• Must be able to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks at the start of each shift and throughout the shift.
• Utilize proper packaging techniques per cleaning and packaging specs.
• Mark and identify products before shipping.
• Distribute finished products to stock or load for transport.
• Inspect final products for visual defects and document findings.
• Complete all applicable paperwork for the position.
• Safely operate power and hand tools used in pallet fabrication.
• Read and interpret blueprints and finishing specifications.
• May handle hazardous waste as required.
• Adhere to ITAR standards and safeguard protected data.

Responsibilities

Associates to perform all safety checks at the start of their shift this includes by not limited to all cranes and tools and complete the necessary documentation. Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.

• - Utilize proper packaging techniques, according to the cleaning and packaging specifications.
• - Marking or applying proper identification to complete products, prior to shipping.
• - Distribution of completed products to stock or loading products for transport.
• - Inspection of finalized products for visual defects.
• - Completion of all applicable paperwork, relative to this position.
• - The safe use of all power and hand tools used in the fabrication of pallets and other packaging assemblies.
• - Able to understand and preform banding and palletizing all product before shipment.
• - Operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed. Also successfully complete any training, safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.
• - Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations.
• - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and finishing specifications as they relate to finishing products.
• - This job may require handling of moving of hazardous waste.
• - Adhere to and abide by all ITAR-specific job standards and training. Protect and properly safeguard ITAR-sensitive information and work product; ensure dissemination or disclosure of and access to “protected data” occurs only with those trained and approved for exposure to ITAR content.
• - IMMEDIATELY notify Supervisor/Manager, Human Resources, Legal (email: [e-mail]) or the Samuel Ethics Alert Hotline of known or suspected.

Education and Certifications
