Job summary

AccuTrex Products, Inc. is seeking a Finisher for the Gasket Shop in Washington, PA. The role focuses on post-machining deburring, cleaning and packing, meeting production standards and contributing to continuous improvement.

The position is regular full-time on the daylight shift, Monday through Friday. Qualified candidates have experience in a manufacturing or machine shop, preferably one year in parts finishing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/machine shop.
• Preferably 1 year in parts finishing.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Remove burrs from parts using hand tools; polish and clean as needed.
• Review the part information sheet to select proper tools.
• Count parts and record quantity and date in the shop packet; move parts to next work center.
• Operate parts cleaning equipment to clean parts between processes.
• Visually inspect parts for machining irregularities and communicate issues to QA/Production Managers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Gasket Shop - Finisher

AccuTrex Products, Inc. is hiring a Finisher for our Gasket Shop that will perform post-machining deburring, cleaning and packing operations, meet production standards, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

The Finisher is responsible for:

• Using hand tools selected, remove burrs from part, polish, clean, etc. as needed.
• Review the part information sheet to determine proper tools for use.
• Count parts and record quantity and date in shop packet; move parts to next work center.
• Operate parts cleaning equipment to clean parts between processes.
• Check parts visually for machining irregularities and communicate problems to Quality Assurance and Production Managers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates must have experience working in a manufacturing/machine shop and preferably 1 year of parts finishing experience. The successful candidate will have a the ability to work independently and methodically, handle a high volume environment and have great attention to detail. Candidates must possess solid math skills and demonstrate a consistent commitment to safety and quality.

This is a full-time position in a manufacturing environment requiring the ability to handle large metal sheets and lift up to 30 pounds, stand for long periods of time and have the manual dexterity to to hold and examine small machined parts using the necessary tools.

Pay is commensurate with experience.
