Job summary

Sayre Enterprises, Inc. in Buena Vista, VA, is seeking a Finisher to join the Finishing Department on a full-time basis. The role offers an optional 4-day work week with two daylight shifts: 4x10 hours (Mon-Thu) or 5x8 hours (Mon-Fri), starting early morning.

Responsibilities include inspection, embossing, engraving, screen printing, packaging and shipment, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. Must have a high school diploma or GED; manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform or support: inspection, embossing, engraving, screen print, packaging & shipment.
• Maintain constant and clear communication with Supervisor to ensure proper workflow between assignments.
• Follow and maintain safe manufacturing practices.
• Assist in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in work area.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with little supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude.
• May require additional work hours during peak seasons.

Sayre offers 2 daylight shifts to choose from: 4 - 10 hour days (Monday - Thursday, 6AM-4:30PM) OR 5 - 8 hour days (Monday - Friday, 7AM - 3:30PM)

JOB TITLE: Finisher

DEPARTMENT: Finishing Department

REPORTS TO: Finishing Department Supervisor/Manager or Delegate

HOURLY RATE: $15.25/HOUR

SUMMARY: Ideal candidate would have the qualifications and skills to perform a variety of different job duties within the department. This job requires a flexable mindset as individuals will be assigned a variety of duties throughout the workday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Continually required to sit, walk and stand (8-10 hours per day and up to 4 hours overtime as needed)
• Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
• Continually required to talk, hear, and visually see and focus on items during process, including but not limited to color, peripheral and depth perception and adjust focus.
• Ability to differentiate colors.Must be able to lift or move up to 25lbs periodically.
