Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in food science, biology, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of quality control experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or regulated environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety principles, traceability/lot coding systems, barcode scanning and tag verification, and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Verify finished pallets are properly tagged and barcodes match produced items.
• Confirm SKU, product ID, traceability lot/date code, and correct cases per pallet.
• Inspect pallet integrity, load stability, cleanliness, and food safety conditions.
• Review GDP-compliant QC paperwork and ensure corrections follow procedures.
• Support investigations for tagging errors, GMP concerns, and corrective actions.
• Assist with internal and customer audits and regulatory inspections.
• Cross-train with QC team to ensure coverage and continuity.
• Perform additional quality control and food safety tasks as assigned.
