Job summary

Baumer Foods, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to verify finished pallet readiness on the production floor. You will confirm pallet tags and barcodes, validate SKU/product IDs, traceability lots, and ensure proper case counts and pallet condition.

Responsibilities include GMP compliance, accurate GDP documentation, and supporting audits. The role requires 2+ years in food QC, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work overtime in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• 2+ years of quality control experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of GMPs and basic food safety principles.
• Experience with traceability/lot coding systems and barcode/tag verification.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.
• Clear communication and correctness in real time.

Responsibilities

• Verify finished pallets are tagged and barcode matches produced product.
• Confirm pallet data accuracy: SKU, product ID, traceability lot/date code, and correct cases per pallet.
• Verify pallet integrity and load stability; ensure pallets are not broken or unsafe.
• Inspect for cleanliness and food safety conditions; no debris or pests.
• Place product on hold and elevate nonconformances per procedure.
• Review GDP paperwork for completeness and accuracy; ensure corrections follow GDP.
• Support investigations for coding/tagging errors and GMP concerns; assist with corrective actions.
• Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections as directed.
