Job summary

Metaldyne Sintered Forged Products LLC in Indiana is seeking a Finish Operator (2nd shift) to safely run finishing equipment, inspect parts, and perform quality checks. You will load and unload materials, document production steps, and support continuous improvement while maintaining safety and 5S housekeeping.

The role requires reading instructions, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Experience with assembly, machine operation, inspection or material handling beneficial.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production docs.

Responsibilities

• Perform production tasks per work instructions and standardized procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, and handle materials through manufacturing stages.
• Conduct visual and dimensional quality inspections to verify specifications.
• Identify and segregate nonconforming products and notify supervisor/quality personnel.
• Complete production, quality and traceability documentation accurately.
• Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Follow production schedules to meet daily output and customer requirements.
• Perform minor maintenance and housekeeping; support 5S practices.
• Assist with changeovers, setup activities and continuous improvement.
• Train or cross-train teammates as required.
