Position Title: FLM - Assistant Store Manager/ Supervisor (Finish Line shop inside Macy's)

Summary: The FLM - Co Manager/ Supervisor assists General Manager in all aspects of daily shift management by performing the following main duties:

Sample Responsibilities:

  1. Assists General Manager in all aspects of daily shift management, including customer relations, inventory control, procedural tasks and paperwork, as well as visual merchandising.
  2. Maintains both individual and shift sales.
  3. Provides daily shift floor coverage.
  4. Trains Sales Associates.
  5. Supervises POS.
  6. Provides security & loss prevention in store.
  7. Oversees contest management (Tracking Results & Coaching Performance).
  8. Organizes shipments, transfers & merchandise.
  9. Performs maintenance of store.
  10. Opens and closes store.
  11. Ensures minimum sales volumes are maintained for Store to qualify for Assistant-Manager position.
  12. Holds accountability for store sales and metrics.
  13. Holds accountability for stock and merchandise flow.
  14. Takes lead role in store sales and selling practices.
  15. Maintains company standards regarding store sales/performance metrics.

  1. Requires standing approximately 5 – 8 hours per day usually 3 – 5 days per week, including nights and weekends.
  2. During peak sale periods (e.g. Holiday, Back-to-School), will work for long periods throughout a 1 – 12 hour day.
  3. Requires stooping and kneeling to place merchandise on customer’s feet as well as reaching and pulling to obtain or stock merchandise on storage racks.
  4. May be required to climb a ladder or ascend/descend stairs in order to stock and/or acquire merchandise for sale.
  5. Required to lift items weighing 5 – 25 lbs regularly. In certain circumstances, weights may be higher.
  6. Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and effectively supervise staff.
  7. Must be able to see and differentiate colors.
  8. Required to work an average of 48 hours per week.
