Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is looking for a production helper in Fort Worth, TX to stack finished products, assist operators, and maintain production flow. The role involves setting up equipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling, and monitoring box quality to prevent defects.

Candidates with corrugated industry experience and at least 6 months in manufacturing are preferred. You must read instructions, measure with a tape, and follow safety and housekeeping standards on site.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and following instructions on factory masters.
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy; perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Set-up bundler, hold down arm, load former, and delivery end of machine accurately.
• Secure cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags for production runs.
• Stack finished boxes in accordance with factory master.
• Ensure each unit has proper top/bottom cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags.
• Monitor quality of boxes and report quality problems to Operator.
• Assist operator and first helper as necessary.
• Ensure correct bundle and unit counts.
• Report final count of piece unit to operator.
• Complete necessary reports accurately and timely.
• Submit maintenance work orders for needed repairs and proactive equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping policies; support production schedule and identify scheduling issues.
