Job summary

Jobtailor in Detroit Lakes, MN is seeking a construction laborer to install and inspect components such as sheetrock, fireplaces, kitchen soffits, and stairways. You will read blueprints and work orders, identify materials via purchase orders, and ensure strict safety and quality standards in a controlled environment. Valid driver's license and a Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, blueprints, floor plans, and work orders
  • Understanding of standard workflow and time frames for project stages
  • Proficient knowledge of core tools, including tape measure, hammer, drill, level, saw, nail gun, staple gun, screw gun, and framing square

Job description

  • Ability to follow written and spoken instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds comfortably and consistently
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with evening work as needed
  • Ability to wear required safety glasses and hearing protection when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods and perform physical labor
  • Good manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination, and excellent stamina
