Job summary

Swartz Restoration & Emergency Services is seeking a CARPENTRY TECHNICIAN with 3+ years of proven carpentry experience to restore residential and commercial properties damaged by perils such as water, fire and wind. The role offers year-round work with guaranteed 40 hours and on-call emergencies.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, problem-solving skills, a professional appearance, and the ability to interact with customers in a courteous manner.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven professional carpentry or remodeling experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Pass background check and drug screen.
• Residence within 30 miles of Lima, OH Swartz office.

Responsibilities

• Complete punch list repairs on reconstruction projects, finish carpentry focus.
• Complete work orders from project manager.
• Construct building frameworks, walls, floors, and doorframes.
• Perform trim work (baseboard, casing, crown).
• Paint, stain, finish and assist with light HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks.
• Assist with kitchen and bath remodels; stay on budget and schedule.
• Respond to emergency calls evenings/weekends; participate in on-call rotation.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and shop equipment.
