Job summary

US LBM Holdings, LLC is seeking a Carpenter to perform a variety of carpentry tasks in a commercial or residential setting in Minnesota. The person will construct, repair, restore, and install structural woodwork and related materials according to plans.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and a background in carpentry or an apprenticeship is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable with safety tests, working overtime, and carrying basic carpentry tools on-site.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Apprenticeship program or carpentry certificate preferred.
Experience in carpentry beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety rules and regulations; pass safety test and maintain clean environment.
Communicate with crew and foreman; follow lead carpenter directions; prioritize duties.
Study blueprints or plans to determine layout, dimensions, and materials.
Provide required personal tools.
Measure and mark cut lines, and cut materials to specified sizes with hand or power tools.
Square walls and install sheathing correctly.
Assemble and fasten materials to form framework; install windows, floors, trim, and fixtures.
Supply crew and leads with materials.
Use proper nailing procedures for all applications.
Use hand, pneumatic and other power tools for installation of wall components.
Finish, inspect, and ensure work meets quality standards.
Keep jobsite clean and safe.
