Job summary

US LBM Holdings, LLC is seeking a Carpenter to perform a variety of carpentry tasks in a commercial or residential setting in Minnesota. The person will construct, repair, restore, and install structural woodwork and related materials according to plans.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and a background in carpentry or an apprenticeship is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable with safety tests, working overtime, and carrying basic carpentry tools on-site.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Apprenticeship program or carpentry certificate preferred.
  • Experience in carpentry beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety rules and regulations; pass safety test and maintain clean environment.
  • Communicate with crew and foreman; follow lead carpenter directions; prioritize duties.
  • Study blueprints or plans to determine layout, dimensions, and materials.
  • Provide required personal tools.
  • Measure and mark cut lines, and cut materials to specified sizes with hand or power tools.
  • Square walls and install sheathing correctly.
  • Assemble and fasten materials to form framework; install windows, floors, trim, and fixtures.
  • Supply crew and leads with materials.
  • Use proper nailing procedures for all applications.
  • Use hand, pneumatic and other power tools for installation of wall components.
  • Finish, inspect, and ensure work meets quality standards.
  • Keep jobsite clean and safe.
