Job summary

Skillforce is hiring experienced Trim Carpenters for a 3-week project in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will excel in finish carpentry, including doors, frames, baseboards, casing, trim, and molding, while reading blueprints and ensuring high-quality workmanship on commercial sites.

Pay starts at $30+ per hour, depending on experience. 1st shift, 40-50 hours per week, with a focus on safety and efficiency on site.

Qualifications

3+ years of commercial finish or trim carpentry experience.
Proficiency with common carpentry hand and power tools.
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
Strong knowledge of finish carpentry techniques, materials, and installation methods.
Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic calculations.

Responsibilities

Install commercial finish carpentry, including doors, frames, baseboards, casing, trim, molding, and other architectural millwork.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
Measure, cut, fit, and install wood and composite materials accurately.
Install doors, hardware, cabinets, paneling, and other finish components as required.
Perform layout and ensure finished work meets project specifications and quality standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
Coordinate with other trades and communicate with supervisors and project management regarding job-site needs.
Identify and correct installation issues or deficiencies.
