Qualifications

Responsibilities

Blood Assurance is seeking a Finish Carpenter, where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will help shape high-quality, woodwork in our Chattanooga Mobile Shop. In this role, you will create cabinets and work with laminate that enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our projects. Collaborate closely with a talented team in a dynamic environment, contributing to projects that prioritize excellence and innovation.

Finish Carpenter Job Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine material requirements and accurate measurements.
• Install, repair, and maintain wooden structures and fixtures.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials with precision using hand and power tools like table saws, edge banders and routers
• Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and other construction professionals to achieve desired results.
• Perform finish work, including sanding, staining, varnishing, and sealing to enhance the appearance and durability of wood surfaces.
• Inspect and select the best materials for projects, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe and efficient working conditions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the building and finishing process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all waste materials are properly disposed of.

Finish Carpenter Job Requirements

• CNC Machine Experience preferred
• Proven experience as a Finish Carpenter or in a similar role.
• High proficiency in using woodworking tools and machines.
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
• Ability to measure, cut, shape, and install wooden and other structures with high accuracy.
• Good physical condition and stamina; capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various positions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with safety guidelines and regulations in carpentry and construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in carpentry is a plus.
